Altes Rathaus, Hauptstr. 118
Old and New Town Hall

Until the late 19th century the municipal administration was located in the Unterdorf. When the town center began to develop around the train station, the church of St. Georg and the school, the representative old town hall ("Altes Rathaus") was built next to the village stream in 1909. At the end of the 20th century there was not enough space for all administrative bodies which led to the construction of the new town hall ("Neues Rathaus") right next to it in 1995.

You are at the entrance to the so-called "old town hall". It was completed in 1909 and served for almost one hundred years as the town hall of the municipality of Denzlingen.

Today, only the municipal council meets in the council hall, which is located on the first floor. Since 1995 the new town hall is located to the south and west of the spacious town hall square. The building accommodates the administration of the municipality and the municipal administration association.

In the village stream to the right in front of the entrance to the old town hall you can see an oversized stork sculpture, created by the sculptor Helmut Lutz from Breisach.
